YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the last minute efforts of John Bland and his crew we have a
bill draft request.

ABATE Members,

Assemblyman Don Gustavson has introduced the helmet bill and he has
many
years of experience with introducing helmet bills. The bill can be found
as
a BDR 735 on the legislative web site. Dennis Nolan is no longer
Transportation Chair. John Carpenter told me he will sign on as a
supporter
to the bill and Govenor Jim Gibbons has told me he will sign it into
law if
we can get it to his desk.

Thursday, August 21, 2008 -  Approximately 30 ABATE members arrived at the Grant Sawyer Building for the presentation of our amendment to the helmet law.  This meeting was to determine whether the amendment Bones wrote would be recommended to the legislature for additional consideration.  This is our first effort as an organization to submit a change and it ended in OUR FAVOR
